This gallery is for a hike along the East Fork Trail in SC.
This moss covered a log near the beginning of the trail. The texture is just fascinating. The East Fork trail follows this branch of the Chattooga River. This is a photo from a bridge that crosses the branch. Ferns covered either side of the path along this stretch The carpet of ferns along this stretch was spectacular At one point, there was this stone path across a stream. Many rock faces along the path had fantastic striations. The stream running alongside the trail was filled with small rapids. Small waterfalls added to the beauty of the rushing stream More waterfalls Wonderful root structure. Lovecraft, anyone?
