I've been to the River Bluff Trail once before, when I was too late to see the wildflowers blooming, but this time, I was able to see a wide variety of wildflowers growing along this trail.
Still looks like winter, at the beginning. Not sure what these are, but they look neat. Here's a view from the top. I'm thinking this is some type of phlox. Nice symmetrical arrangement Something's coming up; perhaps trillium? Flower-lined path along the river The slopes along the path by the river were thick with flowers. These little flowers are called Dutchman's Breeches. More phlox along the side of the road Perhaps this is a Celandine poppy? These small purple wildflowers are possibly Purple Phacelia? Here's a close-up of what I'm thinking are Purple Phacelia. On my way out, I see this example of why it's called the River Bluff Trail.
