Anna Ruby Falls are a pretty two-cascade waterfall in Unicoi State Park, in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Thisis a rather popular spot, with a .5 mile paved trail up to two different observation decks. Not a very long hike, but an enjoyable one, if you're looking for an easy scenic walk through numerous smaller rapids and waterfalls, bridges, and massive rock formations on either side.
There are numerous cascades running alongside the trail. These cascades and flumes are everywhere you look as you walk up to the main waterfall. As per usual, the trail provides some views of mushrooms. Some of the mushrooms in the area formed tiny colonies through old stumps. It's practically impossible to point the camera without seeing beautiful waterforms. The word "gorgeous" is not often applied to fungi, but how else to describe these? Saw a little bit of fauna, as well, like this furry little guy. The paved path for this trail makes for a nice walk. This millipede was just blithely crawling around on the trunk of a tree. The main attraction, Anna Ruby Falls, has two cascades, the right... ...and the left. Even with low water, they were impressive. These bright red and orange flowers proliferated near the left cascade. The combination of the orange flowers and the waterfall gave the scene a tranquil feel, even though there were lots of people around.
