These pictures are taken during a Halloween hike at Big Ridge State Park. A couple of the trails taken were, appropriately enough, the Dark Hollow Trail and the Ghost House Trail.
Starting off on the lakeside part of the trail. The trail goes across a dam, offering a view of the lake. Here's another view of the lake from the dam. On the other side of the lake, the trail wound through the autumn foliage. Much of the trail went through a lot of golden leaves. The fall colors on the trail were still pretty impressive, even in late October. The gold was liberally mixed with green. For a trail called Dark Hollow, it was certainly colorful. On the way back to the beginning of the loop, the sky started to get a bit overcast. Yet another view of the lake from the dam, this time going the opposite direction. One final shot of the lake before leaving the park.
