This trail is a nearly 2-mile loop trail in Table Rock State Park. This trail also serves as the starting point for at least two other trails in the area, the Table Rock summit trail, and Pinnacle Rock. This trail is rather easy, with a couple of moderately strenuous points, but it provides many views of cascades and rapids as it winds around Carrick Creek. I rendered the images in black and white, to emphasize the textures of the subjects.
The beginning of the trail has a platform off to the side to provide views of the first of many cascades along the trail. This rock wall provided part of the boundary of the first waterfall. A sluice-type waterfall can be seen from a bridge crossing the creek. It was difficult to get a clear shot of a set of rapids just off the trail, but it was very active. Just a small waterflow that was off to the side on the way down the other side of the trail loop. The roots of this tree were amazingly intricate and well-defined and the trail just goes around the tree to either side. I took a lot of pictures of this knot, because the patterns and textures were gorgeous.
