These images are from the Judge Branch Trail and part of the South Old Mac Trail, in Frozen Head State Park. This is a relatively short trail along a creek, with 1.20 miles on the Judge Branch Trail, and looping back along around a mile on the South Old Mac Trail.
This bridge crosses the creek close to the beginning of the trail. This is a view of the creek from the bridge. The roots of this tree along the creek had a very knotted, tentacle-ly look. A colony of mushrooms climbing an old branch. A lot of leaf litter along this trail in the winter. There were plenty of vantage points to look down the creek. This is where the Judge Branch Trail comes to an end, before I crossed the creek to return. And here's a final shot of the trail on the way back.
