The Old Waterwheel Trail is a 1.6 mile loop trail in Oconee State Park. The main attraction of this trail is a spur that leads to the remains of a stone structure that housed a waterwheel that used to be used for pumping water.

The Old Waterwheel Trail follows along with the Oconee Trail
Wow, this is an odd mushroom!
The trail downward has steps for convenience
Just a little mushroom growing out from under the steps
These stone columns line the trail down to the old structure
Not much left of the old place
Top down view of a pine sapling
Fallen logs floating on a sea of ferns
Near the creek, the ferns block the trail a bit
Nearing the end of the trail
There were plenty of spiders building webs across the trail
Quite the day for odd-looking fungi
