This Raven Cliff Falls is in north Georgia, as opposed to the falls in South Carolina, and is a 2.5-mile, moderate hike right up to the base of a great waterfall streaming down between two stone bluffs. The trail follows Dodd Creek, and with the recent rainfall, the creek flowed quite strongly.
The trail follows along swiftly flowing Dodd Creek. The opposite bank of Dodd Creek was a lovely backdrop. There were many waterfalls and cascades of different sizes all the way up to Raven Cliffs. The trail was so close to the creek in most places, it was easy to get closeup shots of the many cascades. The opposite side of the trail from the creek sports many rock outcroppings. I am apparently fascinated by the green of the moss against the more neutral tones of the rock. The end of the trail shows views of the falls between tall rock cliffs. This is the lower one. This is the upper plume of the Raven Cliff Falls. Something about this old stump caused me to take quite a few different pictures of it from different angles to get a shot I really liked. Great color on these stones, very earthy. Another view of the trail
