On the first weekend of April, I decided to head up to the Table Rock summit again. Last time, it was in the middle of autumn, but this time, spring was just starting to make itself felt. So, the foliage wasn't as lush as before, and the weather still had a little bit of a chill in it.
It was a beautiful early spring day, as I started out. For the first 1.5 miles or so, the trail is strewn with huge boulders and the trail winds through them. There are a few moments where the trail evens out. There is a nice resting spot in a shelter that overlooks the surrounding mountains. Careful, your spring is showing! Yes, I do love me some knotted trees. Nearing the top, Governor's Rock provides a great place for all to take a break. Yep, another knotted tree trunk. At the top, I just sat for a while and enjoyed the day. Eventually, I had to pack up to come down from the mountain top.
