Turkey Pen Ridge is a hiking trail in the Smokies that is about 3.5 miles to where it intersects with Schoolhouse Gap. These pictures were taken during an autumn hike, so there is some color to the foliage.
A look up into the trees as I begin the hike. Much of the trail had this kind of view, with the sunlight filtering through the trees. More views through the trees. Some of the colors along the trail were quite special. Sometimes the colors are a bit more subtle. Some of the colors are more in the yellow spectrum. Some green and gold contrast. More green and gold contrast. Parts of the trail were so lush, it got fairly dark. One more shot of the wonderful colors of autumn in the Smokies.
