These were taken on a second trip to the Mountain Creek Trail in Paris Mountain State Park, this time in the winter.

The trail was very different in the winter than it was in the summer.
There was a lot less green in the winter, but there was still plenty to see.
More of the trail.
The way this old tree stump was worn down made for some very intricate patterns.
The color on these mushrooms was striking.
I couldn't get enough of how stark the trail was in comparison to the last time I was here.
More pictures of mushrooms for the Queen.
As I was finishing up the trail, the sun was going down through the trees.
To extend the trail, I looped around Paris Mountain's Lake Placid, which certainly lived up to its name.
