I returned to the Sourwood Trail in the late fall of 2014. These pictures were taken of the trail going the direction opposite from last time.

The trail starts out on a gravel road.
As before, the trail was heavy with foliage.
A view of the surrounding mountains from a hill
I saw a few large shelf mushrooms on a fallen log.
The trail continues on through the trees.
Nancytown Falls looked simliar to the last time, even though it was fall.
Here's a close-up of the base of the waterfall.
Here's a closer close-up of the base.
This broken treetop stood out starkly against the green backdrop.
Alongside the trail was this open meadow dotted with a few trees.
Another view of the meadow
And the trail ends much like it began.
