These pictures were taken during my second trip to Rainbow Falls in Jones Gap State Park.

This is a good place to stop on the way up. 
Here's a view of our trail stop from the other direction. 
Looking up at the top of the waterfall from below, you can get a small idea of the grand scope of the falls. 
It wasn't always easy to get a picture of the waterfall without other people in the shot, but I managed. 
Once it cleared out, I could get right up near the base of the falls, where the water cascades over the rocks. 
The waterfall is so high, it's hard to get the whole thing in the frame. 
The waterfall isn't the only beautiful thing in the area. The surrounding cliffs are pretty amazing themselves.
