This trail is a three-mile loop trail roughly 25-30 miles from Knoxville, TN. The trail loops around near the Clinch River, not far from Norris Dam.
Oh, yeah, it's definitely summer; very green. 
Neat pattern in this old stump. 
Much of the trail cut through thick undergrowth. 
On the return loop, there are sometimes glimpses of the surrounding countryside through the leafy trees. 
Sometimes, you can even see the river through the trees. 
Once you get to the last leg of the trail, the river is easy to watch as it comes close to the trailside.
