This trail is an easy 2.5 mile hike in and out, part of the Paris Mountain State Park series of trails. This park is just north of Greenville, SC, and is a nice little park, for those in the area looking for a way to spend the day.

The trail starts off with a view of the creek that follows the trail for a short while
I focused mainly on foliage, this trip
I was fascinated by the maple-like shape of these leaves
This is an example of the path for this trail, not very difficult, but scenic
Intriguing shapes to these leaves, almost like tulip poplar, but not
Here's the tulip poplar, one the easiest trees for me to identify
The trail wasn't very rocky, in general, but this was a pretty area of moss-covered stones
I thought the shape of this dead tree root looked like an animal of some kind
The moss gives this old tree stump a miniature landscape
Plants sometimes find the strangest places to grow
This tree seems to be ready to fire a shot across the port bow
