The Whittleton Trail is a 2-mile in-and-out trail in the Natural Bridge State Resort in Kentucky. This park is in the Red River Gorge area, and this trail follows Whittleton Creek. My wife and I did not do the entire trail, but did a significant portion of it on this trip.

More great rock formations along Whittleton Creek, as one expects in this geologically stunning area.
The side of the trail had lots of cool ground cover.
Across the creek, there was this partial rock arch.
Odd gray color for this mushroom, almost blue.
Towards the end of the trail, there was a large pile of boulders and trees, of which this stump was part.
Here is another view of the boulder pile towards the end of the trail.
I just liked the pattern of this ground cover along the side of the trail.
This fascinating fungus was near the creek, and we only noticed it on the way back.
