I returned to the Tamassee Knob Trail in the late summer. This 2.1-mile trail was much more summery this time, very humid. But, a rain eventually came through and cooled things down.
With the oppressive heat, sometimes it was just more pleasant to look up and let the sweat drain off my face. Once I got to the top, I was able to watch the clouds and rain approach. The rain continued to come across the valley. Here comes the rain. Opposite the view of the mountains was this small tree. One last shot after the rain, before heading back down. On the way back down, there was the rare break in the foliage that showed the mountains beyond. The trail was much greener this time around. With the cooler weather, I was able to take more time to look around on the way back. And then one last picture before the end of the trail.
